Persimmons on Film

from US$45.00

I’d never seen a Persimmon till I came to Georgia 10 years ago, they aren’t very prevalent in the UK yet here it seems that most back yards in Georgia have a Persimmon Tree that bears golden orange fruit gathering sweetness and ripening late into autumn, the best ones come off the tree between late October and Mid November, many people like to dry these as a sweet treat for winter although that’s more common in western Georgia. Using slide film which exhibits stunning colour reproduction I shot these persimmons in 35mm - it’s the sort of image that gives warmth and coziness all year round. As an aside I just went to get some wine from the cellar and on the way back a persimmon had fallen on the path, I slipped over on the slimy insides and nearly broke my leg, so be careful if you have trees!

This fine Art Print is available as an Open Edition in sizes A2, A3 and A4 - All prints are made on archival grade Hahnemuhle Art Paper and printed using Epson Premium Archival Inks to guarantee stunning clarity and quality.

A2 420 x 594 mm 16.5 x 23.4 inches,

A3 297 x 420 mm 11.7 x 16.5 inches,

A4 210 x 297 mm 8.3 x 11.7 inches
