Paliastomi Blues

Close to Poti on the Black Sea coast of Georgia the river Rioni culminates in a vast wetland area that is known as Paliastomi Lake, it’s one of those places you wonder isn’t featured more in tourist literature but then I suppose Georgia is all about Mountains and Wine to most people… On a road trip from Batumi back to Tbilisi I decided to explore behind some industrial units because I wandered if there would be access to the lake - lo-and-behold there was and I found this world of tranquility where the cows chill in the lake.
