Kala Cacti

I first found the balcony with the many Cacti a full 6 months prior to taking this photo, at the time the camera I was using jammed with film and I was unable to get the shot, when I next returned the plants were covered to protect from cold - I have a rule to never change a scene so it took another 2 attempts to get the shot exactly as I’d envisioned it - sometimes perseverance is key. Shot on 6x6 medium format film for beautiful natural colours and a stunning transition from sharpness to out of focus.
